Mr. Andy Wetzel, Athletic
Director
Mr.
Wetzel begins his second year as the
Director of Athletics at Walt Whitman.
AD Wetzel has been a teacher at Whitman
for 11 years, teaching Tech Ed and
Physical Education.
He is a 1993 graduate of
Millersville (Pa) University with a BS in Education.
Mr. Wetzel
has coached volleyball, football and wrestling at both the JV and
Varsity levels. In 2005, he was named as Coach of the Year for leading
the Whitman Varsity wrestling team to an overall record of 17-1 and also
the Maryland State Championship.
AD Wetzel
said, Whitman has a great athletic program, staffed with dedicated
coaches who serve for the love of sport and not for money they care
about the kids.
Mr. Wetzel hails from Pine Grove,
Pennsylvania.
