Jay Mooney, Varsity Running Backs and Linebackers Coach  

  Jay Mooney has been coaching football at Whitman for the past four seasons. This year, he is working with the varsity running  backs and linebackers. Coach Mooney has more than 20 years of experience coaching college and high school football and  basketball.

  He is currently teaching 5th grade at Seven Locks Elementary School. 

  In his spare time, he actively participates in the Big Brother program and the Montgomery County Recreation programs.

  Coach Mooney earned a B.A. in Sociology and a Masters degree in Education from Salisbury State University.

  The Rockville native graduated from Good Counsel High School. He's a father of two; Trevor (15), and Brianna (13).  He  currently lives in Germantown.
